Vitro Moda  is our way of uniting the exciting creation of glass (Vitro) and fashion (Moda) into a very unique fundraiser.  Each year, we transform the Fort Worth Community Arts Center into a New York runway.  Couture models from the Kim Dawson Agency walk the catwalk with the best of glass art created by glass artisans from all over the United States.  The event includes great food, wine, and a silent auction of nothing but glass. 

This year's exciting Vitro Moda 3 - Where Glass Rules the Runway show was on Saturday, April 17, at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in the Cultural District.

Thanks to our huge crowd of supporters, this was our best Vitro Moda year ever!

Our special guest auctioneer for Vitro Moda 3 was the incredible Josh Hart, morning show host from "The Morning Mix" on MIX102.9/KDMX radio station.  The evening's entertainment started with the MONDO Drummers.

This year's show featured the best glass art from the region's glass artists plus a special runway showing of the glass collections of glass artist Mary Lynn Bowman, David Gappa, Leigh Wyatt Taylor, and Aaron Thane Tate.

This incredible show also had a live auction.  Three of the live auction pieces were "joint creations" between a glass artists and local celebrities here in North Texas.  One such piece was a collaboration between kiln-formed artist Mace Adams and MIX102.9 morning show host, Victoria Snee.  Another piece was a collaboration between kiln-formed artist Tim Todd and his muse, Jan Strimple, international fashion model and show producer.  Yet another piece was jointly designed by kiln-formed artist Scott Peterson and Mike McMahon, the owner of Mac's on 7th Restaurant.

Tickets were available online through Ticketstothecity.com and available at the door.  All tickets included complimentary wine and our fantastic hors d'oeuvres from our several great supporting restaurants.  Thank you to all of our sponsors!
