Throughout the year (Annually) SiNaCa Studios hosts or participates in a number of events. They range from large neighborhood based events, site specific fundraising events, to off site glass fashion shows. We invite you to come join us to experience the uniqueness of glass as an artistic medium.
Join us for ArtsGoggle, the Near Southside’s most beloved community arts event. We will have glass blowing demos all day starting at noon. We will also feature our annual student sale and glass pumpkin patch.
ArtsGoggle is a free, family-friendly event hosted by Near Southside, Fort Worth that attracts crowds as diverse as the neighborhood itself with live music, artistic displays of every kind, food, drink, and fun for everyone. Join us as we highlight and celebrate local artists. For more information: https://www.fortworthsouth.org/community/events/arts-goggle/
Twice a year, in the spring and fall, SiNaCa Studios participates in Gallery Night. This event is held by the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association, which SiNaCa is a member of. Gallery Night is an area wide event where participating galleries keep extended hours to show case the visual arts and our community’s unique cultural richness. Most galleries are open noon to nine. The event is free to attend.
Open Streets is a four-hour Sunday event which closes Magnolia Avenue and other adjacent streets to traffic and opens them up to cyclists, food trucks, dog-walkers, skateboarders, yoga classes, facepainters and much more. The event is an expression of the Near Southside’s community spirit in every way: local businesses set up activities along the route; neighborhood residents help spread the word about street closures and detours; and dozens of community partners take ownership of key planning details such as routes and activities, temporary public art projects, pet adoptions, bike safety courses, setting up and breaking down barricades on event day, and much more. Open Streets was presented by Near Southside, Inc. (formerly Fort Worth South, Inc.) and the City of Fort Worth for the first time in 2011 and drew hundreds of participants. Since then, the event has grown to be one of the Near Southside’s most beloved community events with attendance in the thousands. We offer different kiln forming hands on activities and demonstrations during the event.
Open Studio Night
Join us the second Friday of each month from 6p -9p as we host an open studio night at SiNaCa. This is your chance to find out more about the “magic” that goes in to creating glass art. Each month we feature a different artist in our studios. As the artist creates their work we give you an interactive play by play, so you can understand better why they do what they do. Our on site gallery showcases our featured artist to give you a close up view of what they create. Its also the perfect time to find out how you can get involved in learning how to work with glass.
Ice Cream Social | Summer Fundraising Event
The middle of each July we turn off the glass blowing furnace for annual studio maintenance and celebrate with an Ice Cream Social fundraiser. We hold sand casting workshops for people to participate in as they enjoy ice cream. Local artists donate glass bowls that are sold at the social. At the end of the sand castings we ladle out the remaining molten glass in to kegs full of water that will be remelted when we relight the furnace. Proceeds from the event go directly to studio maintenance.
Pride of Southside | Fall Fundraising Event

There will be hand blown beer mugs and event t-shirts for sale. While enjoying your beer hang out and watch glass blowing demos.

A decade-long anchor of the arts landscape in the Near Southside cultural district, SiNaCa Studios School of Glass and Gallery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that elevates and educates in the art of glass, employs and exhibits talented glass artists, and empowers individuals and community through creativity and self expression. This year SiNaCa Studios is partnering with the newly designated Near Southside Cultural District and we will host the first ever exhibition in the new Near Southside Arts Space at Everly Plaza. This exciting new space was created for these kinds of community minded endeavors, and we are thrilled to be a part of its launch.
