In response to the novel coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, we will be adding measures to our normal practices based on local, state and federal guidelines to help create a more comfortable and safe environment for our participants, visitors and staff.
•Class numbers will be minimized by half in most cases to help promote social distancing as much as possible
•High touch areas and hand tools will be routinely sanitized throughout classes
•Participants will be provided with sanitized safety gear
•Hand sanitizing stations will be available in each studio as well as the gallery
•Instructors will wear masks during classes
•Start times for classes in multiple studios will have staggered times to limit contact in the gallery
•All onsite transactions have the ability to be contact free
•We ask that any non-participants wait out side of the studio areas, with the exception of guardians for minors
•We ask participants to arrive 5 minutes before class time.
•Frequent washing of hands will be highly encouraged of both staff and class participants
•Staff will wash hands after working with each participant(glass blowing studio)
•As of June 26 we are currently required to have any students and customers wear a mask while on site. We will provide disposable masks for students that do not have a mask.
SiNaCa Class FAQs
The majority of our classes are geared for people that have never played with the material before. If there is a prerequisite it will be noted in the class description.
Our Walkup Workshops are designed for ages 8 & up in the glass blowing and flame working studios, and 5 & up in kiln forming(with parent or guardian).
Our longer term classes are 14 & up.

Registration for all classes with the exception of Walkup Workshops is done through our website sinaca.org/classes
Closed toed shoes and long pants are preferred, but shorts may be worn during the hotter months. 100% cotton clothing is recommended. Please tie back long hair. Metal jewelry on your wrists and hands (watches, bracelets, rings) may get hot and you may prefer to remove them before working. If you are wearing a short sleeve shirt, we have Kevlar sleeves for arm protection from the heat. While in studio areas, protective eyewear must be worn at all times. Safety glasses are available, however you may wear your own safety glasses, sunglasses or prescription glasses.

We encourage all participants to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class starting.
Classes can range from 20 -30 minutes, 2 to 3 hours, or up to 4 weeks in length
Yes, you do! However depending on the class it may take up to a week before your item(s) are ready. Your instructor will let you know when you should be able to pick up your work. We won’t contact you for pickup unless your item(s) have been here for a while. All items will be boxed with your name in the gallery.
Walkup Workshops are your way to get involved with glass without a long-term commitment! These workshops are designed to take about 20 to 30 minutes per person. On the First Saturday, 1p – 5p and Fourth Friday, 5p – 9p of the month we offer a featured item for you to help make. Classes are held in each of our three studios and are done on a first come first served basis. Items vary throughout the year, and maybe seasonally themed. No, unfortunately are designed to be done on a first come first served basis. With the recent health crisis we are not offering them in our normal way. We will be offering scheduled times for our Walkups.
Unless your piece(s) have been here for a long time we will not call you for pick up. Your instructor will let you know when they will be ready to pickup.
Most likely no. We don’t always have instructors on site, and the needed equipment may not be on.
Each groupon will have a unique 8 letter code that will be used a promotional code when you are registering online. Only one code can be used at one time to register for a class. Once you have completed your registration you will receive an email from eventbright.com. This will confirm your registration, and will also have a link to cancel the registration if needed, while keeping your code active.
They are only good for the specific class that they have been purchased for. If you need a refund for your groupon you will need to contact groupon directly.
We understand that circumstances may arise, and you may not be able to make it to your class. We will do our best to help get you into another class. If you used a groupon voucher we will release the voucher so that you can use it again. If you didn’t use a voucher we will coordinate with you via email to get you in to another class.
