Existing on the liminal boundary between wholeness and broken, the work evokes both comfort and tension. The space that a piece exists in its many forms plays a vital role in how the viewer prepares for a logical progression of actions significance. By actively combining two disparate fields of craft, Kagen challenges the stereotypes associated with each.
